What is the Rising Wildcats Summer Program?

The University of Kentucky Rising Wildcats Summer Program is a free three-day virtual pre-college program designed for students from historically marginalized groups and/or  those students who identify as a first-generation student.  This program is open to all students nationwide and will be held on Monday, August 9 through Wednesday, August 11 via Zoom. We hope to plant the seed of excitement about attending college and pursing your career goals. Through innovating collaborative work with our campus partners, admissions team, and community-based organizations, we hope to create a pre-college experience that is engaging, fun, and uplifting.

Who can apply?

  • Rising high school seniors
  • Minimum of 2.75 grade point average (4.0 scale)
  • Demonstrated leadership/co-curricular involvement
  • Students from historically marginalized groups and/or students who identify as a first-generation student
